First Annual Raven Employees Only Coloring Contest!

Whew, that’s a mouthful. In between tending to our sweet green ladies, harvesting organic buds, and putting together packages of all of our goodies, our team has been busy this past week competing in our in-house coloring contest!

The idea of adults diving back into coloring as a hobby of choice has been gaining quite a bit of traction lately, with studies pointing to its help in relieving stress and anxiety. After talking with a friend in NYC who had just wrapped an adult coloring book project of his own, appropriately titled The Stoner’s Coloring Book, I started thinking about how we could incorporate all of these coloring-produced good vibes into Raven. Sure, I wanted to get my hands on some of those groovy images to splash some color on, but I wanted our team to reap the benefits as well! Thus was born The First Annual Raven Employees Only Coloring Contest. After obtaining a hot-off-the-presses copy, we set to work.

The rules were pretty simple, and that was that there really weren’t any formal rules. Any medium, any format, any alteration of your chosen image was allowed. Err, I should clarify. No one actually got to choose their images. Each employee was tasked with choosing a picture from the coloring book to assign to one of their team mates. They were given till the end of the work week to complete them, when the entries would then be photographed and sent to a panel of mystery judges across the country.

Our esteemed judges weighed in, each voted for their top three favorites, and decided on a winner. Who’s the lucky entry, and what did they win? Well, our team doesn’t find out until next Friday, so we don’t want to spoil the ending for anyone on here! Check back in next week for the results, but in the meantime, check out these amazing entries and let us know which are your favorites!
